Registered KWPN 15.1, dark bay, 6yo, Dutch Warmblood out of Garanco with G Ramiro Z bloodlines.
I have not had him for long and am looking to sell as I am over horsed and due to rider injury am going to be out of the saddle for a while. I bought him as a project as he was not long broken yet was working well on the ground and jumping a course of 3ft 3 including fillers. He is still green as he was broken last year, turned away and then brought back into work towards the end of last year.
Since I have bought him I have dislocated my shoulder and so not been able to do anything with him for the last 2 months. I tried to get a couple of people to help but due to inexperience or different approaches to disciplining him this did not work. I have moved him yards where I have a friend helping him and he is currently settling in but hasn’t been ridden in a while. He is a very nervous young man and needs a confident quiet handler to deal with him. He does not appreciate an aggressive approach. He is an exceptionally quick learner but due to my injury, being handled by different people and being left in the field has started to become bolshy on the ground. He takes a while to settle in to new surroundings and can get quite fidgety and impatient. He needs someone to spend time with him and to be gentle with him. He needs routine which unfortunately I cannot give him and is very much a one person horse. He does hack out although hasn’t had much experience of this and he is not bombproof and so needs an experienced rider to instil confidence in him. I am confident however this is due to fear and with time and a relationship built with his rider he will grow out of this.
In return however this clever boy will become and excellent SJ as he has unlimited potential for someone who wants a youngster to bring on. He has lovely paces and I’m sure he’ll excel in dressage. As already stated he needs a kind but confident hand and he needs to build trust with the rider in order to progress. I want to find him a home where he can be brought on and competed to the best of his ability.
Reasonable offers considered for this handsome boy.
