Ruby 15.1 chestnut TB x mare, 16 yrs old very low milage plenty of life left in her. She has been with me 5years and came to me with many issues, she has come on leaps and bounds since owing her. I mainly use Ruby for hacking she's not keen on hacking alone but some days will go out without thinking other days she can nap, never rears or bucks just spins and backs up. She can get excitable going for a canter in open feilds and put in the odd buck, she has bucked with me 12 times of owning her so its very far and inbetween. However she will happily walk/trot and school in stubbles without any problems and as soon as her feet hit the road she is very sensible and not wound up like some horses can be. She is not a bolter or NEVER reared up bolt right she only threatens to rear but never does.

 

She is not strong and schools nicely i have done a few dressage test and got good remarks/results and won many rossettes. I have also done some showing with her and popped the odd jump. She has done BSJA with previous owners and won lots of rossettes. She would need a bit of work to bring her back into jumping as she jumps for fun. I have been doing lots of join up work with her which she is really good at . She will live in/out with a mixed herd with no problems although she does like to be the boss. She is 100% shoe, catch, clip, groom, ALL traffic, motorbikes, tractors, combines, lorrys, busses which she sees on a daily basis living near busy roads, she's good with dogs, cats and kids running behind her legs (yikes) never kicks out. She loves her cuddles and is affectionate but can pull faces doing up her girth and front rug buckles.

 

I am only selling as i have a baby and just don't have the time that she needs and not done anything with her other than groundwork, she has a few old scars but do not affect her in any way, she has NEVER been I'll in the 5yrs i have owned her. She would benefit from a home where someone with lots of expeirence who will spend lots of time with her the more work done with her the better horse she is and trys really hard to please. she can be a little spooky at birds flying out or a newspaper blowing towards her but the more ridden work she does this the more confident she gets, when i say spooky its a shoot forward then plods on happily. Whilst i were pregnant i had a 15yr old girl riding her and she went well for her, she is a fun horse but as i'm getting older (36) i'm thinking i would be better off riding an old plodder.
